 16"Ivan Zgradic (b.1929, d. c.2017) was an exceptionally talented maker and though professional musicians from all over the globe perform on his instruments, his work remains little known. Originally from Istanbul, Zgradic worked in Rome before eventually moving to Sherman Oaks, CA and later, Orem, UT. His work is unique and full of personality. Acoustically, this is among the finest sounding violas we have handled at any price point. It easily outperforms many old Italian instruments. It has a lively tone with a smooth and creamy texture; full of depth and maturity with lightning-quick response.
